AIA Virtual Convention

Event Summary

The AIA Virtual Convention offers select programs and keynote presentations from the AIA National Convention on-demand.  So you, too, can gain from the knowledge shared by your colleagues and other professionals who attended the convention.

  • Customize your professional development experience with more than 40 hours of convention programs to choose from.
  • Fulfill your continuing education requirements efficiently and cost-effectively with programs that offer more than 40 continuing education learning units, including more than 30 that satisfy health, safety, and welfare (HSW) and sustainable design (SD) requirements.

All virtual convention programs will be archived online through June 2011.  You can view presentations on-demand-providing the flexibility of "attending" on your own schedule and the efficiency of learning from your home or office.

Registration Fee

One low registration fee gives you unlimited access to all 36 presentations through June 2011.

  • Nonmembers:  $275

Continuing Education

All 36 Virtual Convention presentations qualify for AIA Continuing Education System (CES) learning units (LUs).  There are more than 40 CES LUs available; more than 30 LUs satisfy health, safety, and welfare (HSW) and sustainable design (SD)requirements. 

Learning units will be awarded after you have viewed the entire program and completed a review quiz.  On completion of the quiz, you may print a certificate of completion.  Credit will be automatically posted to your AIA/CES transcript within three weeks after the quiz is completed.


*All first-time architect, associate, and international associate members who join and lapsed members (5 years or more) who rejoin the AIA between May 3, 2009, and June 12, 2010 are considered new members.  Lapsed (4 years or less), national allied, and local allied or affiliate members whose status has changed from Assoc. AIA to AIA are not considered new members and are not eligible for this offer.
