Following the devastating earthquake in northern Japan, members of AIA Japan, COD and the AIA NWP Region have been working to refine a dynamic program for our time in Japan this Fall. We have carefully assessed the risks of travel to Japan at this time and listened to our colleagues in Tokyo who have counseled us regarding the contribution we can make to their fragile economy by visiting as well as the significant learning opportunities that this conference at this moment in time affords. With great care and a sense of responsibility we have elected to enthusiastically move forward. The only reason we would need to assess having this meeting would be due to low participation or if another unfortunate act of God were to transpire.
